Using CasaOS for one of my Homelab hosts has served me well. It has streamlined my ability to deploy and interact with many parts of the system I would have spent much time looking at documentation. While I do RTFM, I enjoy being able to get something done. CasaOS has been wonderful at providing a quick and easy way to deploy some useful utilities to my machine.

While I have used Portainer for my Job, I have never considered it much for my home lab. Seeing it as an optional app to install from CasaOS made me pull the trigger to just use it for my stuff. It became so easy to deploy WordPress sites, Databases, and my applications without having to worry about so many other things I would be using Vim to modify.

CasaOS may not be able to accomplish everything I may need to do with my machine, but it covers a lot of bases for things I would much rather have be an easy setup.
